NEW RECORDING "Dawn Upshaw/Maria Schneider WINTER MORNING WALKS"
With commissions from The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Ojai Festival, Australian Chamber Orchestra and Cal Performances came "Winter Morning Walks" (poetry by Ted Kooser) & "Carlos Drummond de Andrade Stories" (English translations of Carlos Drummond's poems by Mark Strand).  It also features Jay Anderson, Frank Kimbrough and Scott Robinson.

This album was the first album to be awarded a Grammy with Internet-only sales, and it also features Donny McCaslin's incredible Grammy-nominated solo on 'Buleria, Solea y Rumba.'  This album is near and dear to my heart.
